Artwork becomes a catalyst

Surviving correspondence records Ian asking Marc for imagery for the music, reacting to textures and hexagonal patterns, and developing wording around Alien Transmissions, S.E.T.I. Project and Forbidden Tonalities.

On 10 April Ian develops the idea of maps overlaid with hexes identifying transmission locations and asks for a planet-wide hex design. A separate Shaun exchange shows an “early design by Marc”.

Archaeological status

The archive can establish the April 2013 collaboration and its role in the developing visual/transmission project. It cannot use that artwork as proof that the later mythology already existed in the same form beforehand.
