AI ARCHAEOLOGY

AI ARCHAEOLOGY
At some point the machine became part of the investigation.
I began asking AI to look through the archive with me — finding connections, questioning memories and sometimes discovering things I had missed.
Some of its readings were illuminating. Some were completely wrong. Some created new questions.
What follows is a record of what happened when the archive was examined by another intelligence.
THE SEQUENCE
The machine helped reveal how the titles could be read as a narrative — while also making clear that the narrative may have been recognised afterwards.
THE 23 DAYS
The conversations exposed the difference between publication chronology and the remembered period of creation.
ASYDO LEMEM
The “same melody” idea became one of the strangest threads in the investigation.
SONIC SIGILS
A later interpretation connected sound, shared listening and the possibility of synchronisation.
LIGHTS ARISE / EARTH SIGIL
An anagram became a clue in the later interpretation of the project.
UNFOLD THE VOID
The machine was asked to examine intention, timing, observation and witness status.
SILICON MIRROR
A phrase generated in conversation became part of the artist’s conceptual vocabulary.
THE LIMIT
The machine can find patterns. It cannot tell me what they mean.
That remains part of the investigation.
