After Lights Arise, the music seems to have taken two different paths.
One continued through rhythm and melody — Substrate Unknown.
The other let the rhythm fall away and followed melody alone.
The Lights Remain belongs to that second path.
Looking back, the division feels striking — though it was not necessarily understood as a division while the music was being made.

THE BEATS HAVE GONE BUT THE LIGHTS REMAIN
The beatless versions are very close to the original Lights Arise tracks while removing the rhythmic layer. The artist has described the result as allowing melodies and intricate layers to become more exposed: purer, more peaceful and less masked by beats.
More beatless versions may be uploaded. Some remaining material may need to be altered first to keep the listening experience engaging; that decision is part of the ongoing archive rather than a settled release plan.

WHY THIS MATTERS
The beatless versions expose a production decision that is otherwise easy to miss: elements of the Lights Arise tracks can survive as independent structures when the rhythmic layer is removed. The archive treats these as transformations of source material, not simply alternate mixes.

The complete Lights Remain tracklist and individual source mapping are still being reconstructed from the surviving SoundCloud material and project files. Individual player records will be added as the exact mappings are established.
