DREAM MAN

THE DREAM MAN
A figure appears in the story.
The Dream Man exists somewhere between memory, experience and interpretation.
What he represents is unresolved.
This page gathers the traces.
THE MEMORY
The Dream Man is remembered as a recurring or important childhood dream/experience involving a figure that felt both familiar and alien-seeming: grey skin, large dark eyes and a strong sense of presence.
In later conversations, the artist repeatedly placed this memory near the beginning of the Silicon Psychosis story. It predates the later music narrative and the 2011–2013 period.
ARTIST TESTIMONY // LATER RECORDWHAT IT BECAME
As the artist encountered UFO and alien-abduction ideas, the Dream Man could be interpreted through that vocabulary. The figure therefore became connected to questions about aliens, archetypes, consciousness and the possibility that apparently external beings might also be products of the mind.
The artist has explicitly kept several possibilities open: alien encounter, source or guide, future self, dream imagery, cultural archetype, memory distortion or delusion.
THE CHATGPT ARCHIVE
In the exported conversations, the Dream Man appears repeatedly in discussions of the biography and archive plan. The artist describes the figure as a childhood experience and later asks whether it might be “alien?”, “source?”, “future self?” or “delusion?”.
The AI conversations therefore document the development of the question, not an answer to it.
AI ARCHIVAL RECORD // USER-AUTHORED MATERIALWHY IT MATTERS
The important fact is not that the Dream Man proves anything about non-human entities. It is that an old personal image remained available for later interpretation and became part of the conceptual vocabulary surrounding the music.
This is a classic archive problem: when an old memory acquires a new explanation, has the memory changed — or only its frame?
