ASCENSION

Archive sigil
ARCHIVE MARK
A reading of the twenty-four transmissions as a movement from ordinary earthly life toward expanded consciousness.

THE MOVEMENT

The sequence begins with water, weather, animals and beauty. It then moves through machines, magicians, pyramids, psychosis, humanoid invaders, hive mind and planetary malfunction. After that pressure has accumulated, the language changes: calling, brain food, holographic sound, the present moment, same melody, inner noise, love, Mindship Man and a civilisation reset.

Read this way, the sequence resembles a descent into complexity followed by an attempted ascent. The destination is not a conventional heaven. It is a transformed relationship between consciousness, music, technology, collective experience and the planet.

THE LATE SEQUENCE

Calling All Aliens becomes the summons. Cerebral Parsley becomes nourishment for the mind. Sound Is Holographic proposes the mechanism. There Are No Memories In The Moment moves into the Now. Asydo Lemem invokes same melody and synchronisation. Agapism supplies love. Mindship Man assists ascension. Civilisation Reset Button imagines planetary upgrade. Unfold The Void becomes the experiment at the edge of the sequence.

WHAT SUPPORTS IT

This reading is strongly supported by the final titles and the later historical descriptions, especially the descriptions of Agapism and Mindship Man. It is also consistent with the artist's later explanation of the sequence.

But consistency is not proof that this was the intended narrative at the moment every track was created. The archive records that the sequence was recognised after the music existed.

LATER INTERPRETATION / NOT HISTORICAL PROOF

THE PROBLEM

The ascension story may be partly produced by arranging the material in a particular order and then reading the resulting pattern. Another arrangement can produce another story.

Perhaps the ascent is in the material. Perhaps it is in the observer.
