THE EXPERIMENT

THE FIRST EXPERIMENT
The material can be read without assuming that a finished story existed from the beginning. Music was created and uploaded. A sequence was later recognised. The titles appeared to form a narrative. The tracks were then interpreted as possible tools, and descriptions were written to describe those imagined functions.
FROM ARTWORK TO TEST
Unfold The Void takes the process one step further. The artist moved from making a piece of music to deliberately testing whether attentive, synchronised listening and intention could produce an observable event. The experiment became part of the archive.
This creates a recursive structure: the music becomes an object of investigation, then the investigation becomes part of the music's history, and now the website investigates that history.
THE ARCHIVE AS EXPERIMENT
The present website extends the same process. Visitors can change sequence, encounter alternative narratives, ask new questions and compare evidence with recollection. AI can be invited to find patterns, while the archive records where the machine misreads or invents them.
THE DANGER
An experiment can become a story very quickly. Once a pattern is noticed, every subsequent event can appear to confirm it. That is why the archive keeps historical evidence and later interpretation separate.
